Entrepreneur with specializations from Harvard Business School, Columbia University, and MIT. João acts as an investor since 19 years old, when he founded Portofino Asset Management and served as a portfolio manager of the derivatives and arbitrage book of the fund. Emigrated to the US at the age of 23 to act as Head of Eurobonds Brazil. When João came back to Brazil, he joined DXA Capital and led the investments in companies such as ZeeDog and 21212. Simultaneously, he kept investing in tech startups through his family office and was one of the first investors of the Brazilian unicorn Loggi, on which he was also a board member.
